When
I was born and the doctor slapped my butt, I whinnied (that's the story
Mom tells). In other words, I was born 'horse- crazy'... In April of
2000 that affliction transformed into 'horsepower crazy', and my life
just hasn't been the same, it's been awesome!! Judy "forced" me to go to
Talladega with her and a group of relatives and NASCAR fans from my home
town of Wellsville, Kansas. I had a dairy in western Missouri, hadn't
left the farm for any length of time in 15 years (had no burning desire
to) - just didn't want to leave my cows, chores, routine... I know,
what's up with that?? Even before the green flagdropped I was hooked -
when Jeff Gordon crossed the finish line first Judy's enthusiasm
inspired my own. So... I sold the cows and the farm, moved back to
Wellsville, the rest is history! It wasn't quite as easy as it sounds -
my youngest daughter graduated in 2000 and left the nest, so I had all
sorts of freedom and choices - I chose racing! It's primal - driver and
car become one beast, the race becomes survival of the fittest... Cool!
I love racing, everything about it... have lots of favorite drivers:
Buckshot Jones,
Tony Stewart,
Scott Riggs, Dave Blaney, Carl Edwards,
Clint Bowyer (he's local!). Every Friday night
it's out to our local dirt track, Lakeside Speedway - I cheered for
Clint Bowyer when he ran out there before RCR snatched him off to the

I work night-shift, 10 hours a day, 4 day week, so you know what that means
- 3 day weekends! Perfect for racing fans. I have two kids, Brad (driver
Greg Biffle - Ford drivers) is almost 30, has a cool wife Carley (Jimmy
Johnson is her driver) and three daughters. Shannon is 23, haven't been able
to get her to a Cup race yet, but she has been to a few Arca and Truck
races. Brad is a fireman in Colorado Springs, and has been on a couple of
Fire and Rescue crews at Pikes Peak International raceway - how cool is
that?? Shannon works at the same place that Judy and I do, she's a Graphic
Artist - also our Web Master. Enough about this...Let's
Go Racin' Boys!
